
Oluwasegun Aina has expressed deep appreciation to friends, political associates, supporters and well-wishers for the overwhelming goodwill messages that have followed his acceptance of calls to contest the 2027 Ekiti State House of Assembly election for Ido/Osi Constituency I on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC).
In a statement made available to journalists on Sunday, Aina, an indigene of Ilero Quarters, Ifaki-Ekiti, dedicated the show of support to His Royal Majesty, Oba (Dr.) John Adegbenro Falore Ajigbade III, the Olufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti, whom he described as a revered father, leader and source of inspiration.
According to him, the visionary leadership and fatherly guidance of the Olufaki have had a profound impact on his personal growth and professional development, noting that he has witnessed remarkable progress in his life since the monarch’s ascension to the throne.
Aina humbly presented himself to the people of Ifaki-Ekiti and the entire Ido/Osi Constituency I as a servant-leader, pledging his commitment to grassroots development and the promotion of policies that will positively impact the lives of ordinary citizens.
He stressed that the time has come for Ifaki-Ekiti to once again produce a representative in the Ekiti State House of Assembly, adding that his aspiration is anchored on competence, credibility and a proven track record of public engagement and political participation.
The aspirant expressed confidence in his capacity to offer effective legislative representation, particularly in the areas of information dissemination and constituency development, leveraging his background in journalism to promote transparency, accountability and effective communication between the legislature and the people.
“This journey is not about personal ambition, but about our constituency and our collective progress. With God and the support of the people, it shall surely end in praise,” he said.
Aina also offered prayers and goodwill to Governor Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, as well as traditional rulers across Ido/Osi Constituency 1, including the Olufaki of Ifaki-Ekiti, the Olujodo of Ido-Ekiti, the Olorin of Orin-Ekiti, the Alaye of Aaye-Ekiti, the Onifishin of Ifishin-Ekiti, the Olugbole of Igbole, the Obalemo of Odo-Ora, the Oloja of Oke-Ora and the Olulogun of Ilogun-Ekiti.
He concluded by reaffirming his loyalty to the All Progressives Congress and his resolve to serve the people of Ido/Osi Constituency I with integrity, dedication and selfless commitment.
