A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Barrister Gbenga Ojo, has congratulated the Governor of Ekiti State, His Excellency, Mr. Biodun Abayomi Oyebanji, on his emergence as the sole consensus candidate of the APC for the 2026 Governorship Election in Ekiti State.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Barrister Ojo, a United Kingdom-based legal practitioner and native of Ilogbo-Ekiti, described Governor Oyebanji’s selection as a well-deserved and people-driven endorsement, reflecting his proven leadership and unifying disposition within the party and across the state.
According to him, the affirmation of Governor Oyebanji as the APC’s consensus candidate underscores his commitment to good governance, inclusivity, and the welfare of the people of Ekiti State.
“This development is truly earned. You deserve it, Your Excellency. I heartily congratulate you on your affirmation as the APC consensus candidate for the 2026 Governorship Election. This is a testament to your selfless service, unifying leadership, and unwavering dedication to the progress of our dear state,” Barrister Ojo stated.
He commended the leadership of the APC in Ekiti State for demonstrating foresight and confidence in Governor Oyebanji’s administration, adding that their support reflects the widespread satisfaction with his performance in office.
“We appreciate the APC leadership in Ekiti for their trust and timely support for Governor Oyebanji’s people-oriented administration.
